Our History
Owned by Jane & Stu, Beautique 32 first opened it's doors in 2008 with the mission statement "where customer service & professionalism are priority". This has been paramount for us, as you the customers, are what has made this business the success it is today. Jane worked in the salon for 7 years and then decided to adapt a management role and take a step back to enable herself to get a clearer picture of the business she first created. Jane works closely with Kirstin, our inspirational and talented salon manager, who has all the drive, passion & ambition to manage the salon and bring in so many new ideas. This has brought the business to a whole new level. We hope you enjoy your salon experience with us and we look forward to rewarding all of our customers with the highest level of customer care. We would like to thank all of our clients, old and new for their continued support and loyalty over all of these years.
Kirstin
I first joined the team in 2014 as an apprentice to study level 3 Beauty Therapy, having gained my level 2 a year prior, and have loved every bit since! It’s a lovely place to work with even better clients and I really enjoy the variety that a day in the salon can bring - no two days are the same. I offer all aspects of nail & beauty, with a particular passion for nails & waxing. However I am always on the lookout for new additions to the salons repertoire. In 2016 Jane & Stu asked if I would take on the role as manager, such a huge opportunity and honour to be given such a important role of the salon. We work very closely together and quite often balance each other out, I am very lucky to have someone who listens to my ideas and supports us in what ever we do.
Having been an apprentice, I have so much appreciation for the route of study. We have since gone onto hold apprenticeships & I feel like they teach me as much as I can train them, and always strive to reach that high standard that our clients expect. I have enjoyed guiding our apprentices so much I have now gone onto teach the next generation at a local college at which I studied. I am so proud of the Beautique 32 team & all we strive to achieve. I truly believe it is the salon environment we have created that makes our clients return, here’s to the next 12 years!
Michelle
My name is Michelle and I joined the Beautique32 team in September 2015 as a Nail Technician, having known Jane as a client for over 10 years. I have always had an interest in beauty and am naturally a creative person, I enjoy working on something from scratch and creating something beautiful! I have bridal make up experience of over 20 years assisting brides in planning out their morning working alongside hairdressers and even lacing up dresses. I pride myself in listening to my brides and working hard to achieve the look they want, I believe an enhanced version of themselves makes a perfect bride. I am qualified in Nail Extension, Gel Polish, Lash Extension, Microdermabrasion, Make-up and Waxing and brow treatments. I am always looking to expand my beauty skills and love to keep up to date with new ideas and techniques. I have previously worked in Administration and the fitness industry, which has given me a strong Customer/Client focused skill set and enjoy making people feel great. I love working in the salon, I’m very much “Mother Hen”, our ladies are lovely, we are a great team and often get comments on what a comfortable, welcoming climate we have created.
Alice
I have never been the most confident person but starting work in September 2019 at beautique 32 has helped me grow as a person massively! I’m currently the apprentice and working towards my level 2 in beauty therapy and hoping to pass in December 2020. I also hope to complete my level 3 in the near future. I’m very lucky as I learn a lot at college and kirstin and jane have been kind enough to send me on separate courses to build up treatments I am able to do. I passed my lash extension course, brow treatments course and spray tan course in December. The treatments I do range from a simple eyebrow wax and tint to a relaxing facial to full glam lash extensions. I enjoy all the treatments I do at beautique 32 but my favourites would be anything brows and lash extensions (now that my confidence has built up). I love working at beautique 32 as it has such a family feel to it and it’s full of laughs and giggles and there’s never a boring day.
Jodie
Hello, I’m Jodie and I’m quite new to the team starting in January 2020. I have always been passionate about everything beauty and the way it can transform a person not just by how they look but how they feel inside, I love being able to help make someone feel and look fabulous! I am level 2 qualified in Beauty Therapy which I completed 6 years ago and then went into hospitality as I am such a people person, I am currently the assistant manager of a hotel and restaurant and wanted to spend the days I have free doing something I love and that’s when I was given the opportunity to join the beautique 32 team. I am currently looking into courses to further my treatment base and to be able to offer everything you could wish for as a client, I enjoy every treatment that I provide but If I had to choose I love the satisfaction of a good wax! I am obsessed with makeup and have experience with wedding party’s and prom makeup following on from makeup competitions that I have taken part in ,the transformation and joy that I can create for the person on their special day is a little reminder of why this is not just a job but a hobby. I couldn’t be happier in the team that I am so lucky to be a part of and the environment I work within as all the girls are so encouraging and kind as well as each client being a pleasure to tend to!
